The issue is that when I use WD2GO, to transfer a video file of about 2.15GB or higher to the MY BOOK LIVE it goes all the way to 99% but then just stops. I let it go for about 2 hours but it just sits at 99% done, and wont move. Then when I try to cancel the transfer my whole system freezes and I have to perform a hard shutdown.
I tried several times and have been getting the same issue. I rebooted the drive, i reset the drive, but still run into the same problem.
However when i upload the same file while accessing the drive directly through my network it uploads or transfers fine.
I run into the issue when uploading or transferring a large file remotely through WD2GO.
Are there any suggestions on why this is happening?
I would suggest that you provide more specifics on the issue since it could be related to a lot of different things. What device are you using to upload? iPhone,? Laptop? Operating system? What connectivity? 3G? Remote wireless? Home network? It looks like it is a file size limitation which may have nothing to do with wd2go or the drive.
I am on my laptop connected to my home network. My laptopv has a movie i would like to upload to the drive, the movie file size is about 2GB’s. I log into my book live using the web access function and open the drive in explorer, i then proceed to drag the intended movie into the hardrive or share that is now mapped in my computer.
It starts adding the movie and then when it gets up to the last few megabytes it just freezes and does not move forward. I have tried several other larger and smaller movies and the same problem persists. I have tried a song or two that are much smaller and they seem to upload fine. I really dont know what the problem is or could be any help would be greatly appreciated. If not resolved I willl have to return.
I dont think so because I tried uploading a movie that was only 1.37GB and that gave me the same issue.
What is WebDav? can I change it. And that **bleep** if there is a file limitiation, I have my sisteres wedding video to upload and that thing is about 20GB, there has to be a fix for this, there shouldnt be any file limitation at all.
If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know.
How can i do this locally? I have family members who will upload movies above 2GB as well how will they be able to get around this.
I went through 20 pages of forum discussions and couldnt find anything that could help me. If you know of any post or something please do let me know I really want to get this resolved. I dont want to return this but if it does not work properly then I have no use for it.
nope just returned it, couldnt find any help here, WD wasnt able to help so just returned it. if you do find a solution please post it here i may then repurchase the drive if the issue is reolved
