Help pls ! i was using my WD last night ,this morning it says Password invalid!

Hello ,

i’m sure i didn’t change the password , i didnt forget it , but it says invalid password !

is it possible i’ve been hacked ? if that so ! how come ? is it easy to pass  the driver security ???

or

it is an error with the security module in the device itself , i had the same issue at the early beginning after purchasing , and i had to format the driver .Now i don’t want to erease it … what to do ??

any idea ? what is going on ?

Try with passwords in Lower Case or Capitals, THERES NO WAY TO UNLOCK THE HD without the Password, If you Dont Get the drive to be Unlock All data Will be GONE!!

last step remaining Will be to erase the unit which deletes EVERYTHING…

i have been trying so many words since hours , but i’m sure my password is the same every where … on all systems i tried upper / or lower case strings …

the thing is driving me crazy, all my work on the drive  … i cant believe that a password got locked and there is no solution . Instead of protecting my data i’ve lost it .

password option on WD is just unuseful . it’s better to lose the WD drive instead of having it front of me , and i can do nothing .  :slight_smile:
