Help... no response from external drive

Hello there,

I have a problem with my wd external drive. It’s an old one ( a year or 2 to 3 orso) … for the first time in years, I actually decided to give the firmware an update. I did everything the website told. so I did take a back-up from my files. But the updating progress failed randomly. And Voila, bricked… Is there a way to fix this?
My computer doesn’t recognise it. really not at all, if I searched “diskmgmt.msc”, It still didn’t appear, on none of my computers. I shouldn’t have done the firmware update -.-. Can somone help me? I really don’t want to buy a new drive…
