Hi! I had an Acer Aspire 4741g laptop. It is no more. I need to retrieve my data from it’s hdd. The problem is the 2.5" hdd doesn’t fit to any docking station or external enclosure. Please help. Thank you!
Looks like WD uses some kind of adapter in the connector. Here’s a pic of one just like it. Note there are no pins sticking out. You likely just need to pull the adapter out. Don’t tug on the pins, pull on the plastic. Gently, working it from both ends, a little at a time. Should come right off.

Thank you! I went to a PC shop and they showed me the solution. It’s called HDD interposer.
Looks like the machine is rather old
Cheap toolless SATA boxes are $10 on fleabay and have USB-A cables or you can use USB-C as desired
Boxes for M.2 NVMe are now available as well
