Will the My Cloud EX2 Ultra accept two 1TB drives. Part of the spec says 0TB to 20 TB and another part says 4TB to 20TB. I just happen to have access to two 1TB drives which would suit me for the near future.

I can’t tell for sure but I can’t imagine why it shouldn’t support a smaller disk.
WD site specifies Capacity from 0TB - 20TB.

If you haven’t found your answer, or tried for yourself, YES, you can use 2 1TB drives. I just did as like you I had access to a couple to start out and see if the device worked for my setup and plans.
