Hard disk capacity only shows 1.3Gb after Mycloud initialization

After initializing Mycloud, I accessed the dashboard and found that the HDD capacity was 3TB, but only 1.3GB was displayed. What’s the problem? Is there a solution?

What does “initializing” mean? Did you replace the My Cloud hard drive? Did you perform a reset (if so which one, 4 second or 40 second)? Did you perform a Quick Restore or Factory Restore? Have you accessed the local network My Cloud using a file manager (Windows File Explorer or Mac Finder) to see if there are any files stored on it? What firmware version is your My Cloud running?

One can enable SSH in the My Cloud Dashboard, then use SSH to access the My Cloud at the root level to search for the directories taking up space. Could be some hidden folders are taking up space. Some example Linux commands one can use via SSH to list the directories with the largest size.

du -hsx * | sort -rh | head -10
or
du -h --max-depth=1 2> /dev/null | sort -hr | tail -n +2 | head

Note: Be in top root level when running the above commands.

Are you able to provide an image of what you are seeing? Below image is from my four TB 1st generation My Cloud Dashboard.
