I have changed from Windows to Mac. I have had 3 WDPassport Ultras while I had windows. Now , since I have the Macbook pro, I’ve saved the data in the clouds, and reformated 2 of the drives to suit the mack and they work well.Now the third one is giving me problems. While I was able to read the other two drives on the mac, the third one does not.
Now for the last 2 days, I have tried to reformat the drive which is a a "WD My Passport Ultra 2590F, with the Disk utility on the Mac.
I have tried a dozen times , first to erase the drive , then reformat it to "exFAT “, to be able to read vit on windows and mac… But the mac program does not do it. It starts os unmounting the drive , then it starts to delete oit, but after about ten minutes, it stops with following messAGE, :”
Erasing “WD My Passport 259F Media” (disk2) and creating “Untitled 4”
Unmounting disk
Creating the partition map
Unable to write to the last block of the device. : (-69760)
Operation failed…
So tomorrow, I will go and use a Window computer and tryu do do it there.
Has anyone, have any idea, why this is happening?
