Hello guyz, Pls I have a challenge with my external hard drive, it connects and installed well to the computer but it is neither listed in my computer explorer nor shows its content. I have got some solutions from the internet but aren’t working for me . Like under disk management I have tried to change the the drive letter and path but the link isn’t active. pls any help?
Try the following suggestions:
WD external drive is not assigned a drive letter by Windows or Mac OSX and data on the drive is inaccessible
MyBook Live 3T external HD stopped being recognized. Spins, light is blue. Ethernet cable changed…no difference.
Thought it might be Windows 10 since the WD shows this drive not Win 10 supported, so I reinstalled Win 8.1. Still nothing. Tried different computers with a direct ethernet connection… nothing.
All the reading I’ve done indicates the drive is dead and could be the board. The HD is ~3 yrs old.
