Is this ok to remove or should I eject, then shut down? My new Laptop keeps the drives powered even with turned off.
I think this is due to Windows 10 fastboot
Easy solution – do not use an always on USB socket, since usually not all sockets are that way.
I guess they aren’t always on USB but due to Windows Fastboot which is a hybrid shut down.
Anyone know if I need to eject still? I think the drive goes into stand by mode?
