Hi,
All of a sudden my NAS has become inaccessible via web browser. However, I’m still able to access the device by my network and Mobile/Tablet devices?
When I try to access the NAS through https://files.mycloud.com it gives me the error: https://i.gyazo.com/f1dd0b42bd916514e7d69f0d07c8109b.png and it says my NAS is ‘offline’ which isn’t the case.
I’ve checked my settings and nothing has changed. I used to be able to log into the device fine previously.
Can someone please advise what to do? (I have followed the instructions on that image, firmware is up to date, NAS reset etc)
Thanks,
Jamie
Hi @JamieGregory, have you tried resetting the router? In most cases, it usually helps. Secondly, you might want to check also with the firewall settings and antivirus that might prevent you from accessing it.

Hi Gerry,
Thanks for your suggestion. I have already reset the router. I don’t have any antivirus on my PC or laptop and both receive the same error as above. I’ve just tried accessing my files through the web browser of my iPad and I receive the same error.
We don’t have any specific firewall blacklists on my router.
The people I’ve shared some files with (who brought this to my attention) cannot gain access to the shared files either.
Hi Jamie,
I used to have much similar issues with your current situation, but mainly the problem is within the settings on my router/wifi at my home network. Is it directly plugged into the router? You might want to check the DHCP and the NAT settings also. It did work for me, as it turned out, I may have misconfigured them that preventing my device on getting an assigned IP address from the router.
Do you mind sharing your current setup?

I’ve just received an email back from WD’s customer support and by following their advice restored access to my NAS via web browser
All I had to do was power off the device, upon rebooting, hold the reset button in for 40 seconds and this restored the default settings to the device without removing or altering my files located on there.
Happy days!
Thanks for your help Gerry.
My EX2 Ultra just did this last night. I rebooted the router (don’t think that I needed to), then removed power from the EX2 for 10 seconds. Plugged it back in & it booted up & worked fine. Didn’t need to reset it. I locked it up doing something in the dashboard menu & not waiting for it to finish before I moved on to something else. Wish I could remember what it was.
Great Jamie, glad to be helpful
I tried all the different resets 15 sec 45 sec and still nothing on accessing the Admin portal without it freezing or crashing. I finally tried to access the Dashboard using Firefox and it loaded but still froze after loading most of the applets and menus.
So I got mad and hit the refresh like 5 times in a row and noticed that the Dashboard would load right when I hit refresh. So the next time I hit refresh I hit the (X) to stop the refresh and I was able to access all the features.
I have been doing this for the last couple days now and it works every time.
Using Windows 10.
5 times, with each 15 or 45 secs in a row?
