Encrypt external USB Disk?

Hi,
My EX2 Ultra internal drives are encrypted via the settings but what about the USB attached disks serving as SafePoints?
Is there anyway to also encrypt them too? I didn’t find any option for that.
It would make no sense to encrypt the NAS but leave the SafePoints readable by anybody stealing them.
