My portable drive has been great over the past several years acting as my external hard drive. But the time has come to transfer my portable drive to a MyCloud device. What is the best way to do this? It’s becoming apparent that the external drive isn’t working as well as it once did, taking longer to get files and file explorer is continually crashing. Hoping that the Mycloud device can be my new external drive.
The easiest way would be to manually copy the unit’s content to your WD My Cloud using Windows Explorer. If this is not possible you can connect your portable drive into your WD My Cloud’s USB port, which will allow you to see your USB drive within your WD My Cloud for file transfer.
