I have the old WD HD media player. Am thinking of upgrading to the WD TV Live. I have my player connected DIRECTLY to the tv (no a/v receiver of any sort) via HDMI. I know that the player I have does NOT play DTS audio. Does the WD TV Live, assuming it’s connected DIRECTLY to the television without an audio receiver (I don’t have surround sound), via HDMI, play DTS audio? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If you have audio set to stereo, the WD TV Live will downmix the DTS track to 2.0 PCM and play through your TV.
