My friends MyBook Live Duo 2 enclosure died, but we think the drives are good. Any issue with taking the drives out of my PR4100 and putting his drives in, they were setup to mirror? Also bigger question, When I put my drives back in, will I have an issue. keeping drives in the same order of course.
The My Book Live Duo uses a different format and operating system than the PR 4100. The two aren’t compatible and you will not be able to read the data. You will have to reach out to data recovery fir assistance. The My Book Live Duo uses an EXT 3 LINUX format on the drives. You could mount one of the two drives in a Linux system to try to recover the data.
