Drive Failure, code 201

Hi,

I need some help with my WD MyCloud 2TB, I logged in today onto my MyCloud web page and noticed a critical warning log which states drive failure (which was logged on the 7th March) and that I should contact WD support. The thing is, the actual homepage under diagnostics states the drive is healthy and also, I have been using it without much issues the last few weeks (touch wood), so was the error a false positive or should I be worried about the drive failing and consider replacing the unit?

Cheers,

Andrew

@sinder201 Have you run any test to see what happens and what the results show? See example image below. Click on, tap or activate image to enlarge it.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Just ran a quick scan which showed no errors, will run a Full Test overnight and see if it identify any issues.

@sinder201 any type of Drive Failure Alert is always something to worry about!

Hi, just a small update, both disk tests identified no errors.

Hi, thanks for your advice, my main files are mirrored onto an external HDD as of last night when I discovered the warning lol.

Here’s the SSH Log:
