Doesn't recoginze MyBook

Hi, I searched through here and couldn’t find this addressed. I just bought a 2TB My Book Live, I installed the WDSmartWare and updated it but all it recognizes is my PC. On the home screen it doesn’t show My Book and soI can’t even access the Backup and Retrieve tabs. On the setting tab, the “Set Up Drive” button won’t work as well. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it about 5 times now, updating each time as well as rebooting. I’ve searched online everywhere for an answer but can’t seem to find one. Any help would be great.

Evetts, what Operating System do you run on your computer? Also, what version of WD SmartWare is the one currently installed on your computer and what Firmware revision is the one present on your Western Digital My Book Live? There are updates available for both.
