I have an external Passport drive and am using WD Smartware Pro, version 2.4.12. Instructions on the web site for disabling the drive unlocker refer to “set up drive” option in the Settings tab. This option does not exist in my Smartware version. How do I proceed?
It does not exist for newer WD drives that use WD Security and WD Drive Utilities for management as opposed to WD SmartWare. This means the instructions you are following are not meant for your WD Passport, but an older version.
