Create a bootable USB drive to perform Sanitize. WD Dashboard

I am trying to erase a WD SSD using the dashboard program. When I click on “Erase Drive” I get an error message “Sanitize is not supported due to driver limitations. Use the USB option instead.” So I clicked on the “Create a bootable USB drive to perform Sanitize.” OK, fine, except I can’t get a computer to boot from the usb drive. I have tried more than one usb drive and also tried booting from the usb drive on more than one computer. Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? Please help.
