My “My Book” starts with WDBBGB. It’s max’d out so I purchased an appropriately sized replacement for back-up. Now I want to use it as an additional external drive. Can I? If so, how do I convert it?

The WD My Book is a Plug and Play external storage device and can be used effectively with your computer without need of any software.
I’m like to know this too. Since they dropped support for everything I’ve bought, I need to just use this without the online ■■■■, just like I do the Seagate ones I have. Their short lifespan of their products is RFEALLY turning me off to WD. I used to only buy WD products for their reliability but what is the point of buying something that is made obsolete in 4 yrs?
