Connection external WD Drive to WD my cloud ex2 ultra

Hello everyone,

i’am trying to connect my wd elements 2tb to my wd my cloud ex2 ultra (latest fw: 5.20.113).

the external usb drive is formatted with APFS without encryption and is holding my photos-library.

I receive the following error:

Ein USB-Gerät kann nicht bereitgestellt werden (Hersteller: Western_Digital, Modell: Elements_2621, Seriennummer: XXXXXXXXXXX). Überprüfen Sie das USB-Gerät.

due to actual Mac OS is running I can’t format external hdd to any other filesystem than APFS.

Can anybody help me with this problem?

ensuring to tick the box that says Reconnect at login. Enter the drive location of your WD My Cloud device Click finish, your drive will now have been mapped.
