Does anyone know of the device Ex2 Ultra can connect over USB to CCTV recorder and the recorder to be able to save footage on the WD?
Any challenges or obstacles here?
It won’t work.
The USB port on the EX2 is for Storage Expansion with an additional Hard Drive ( which will appear as share on the EX2)
(Page 45 in the User Manual)
The EX2 will not see a CCTV as an External Hard Drive … it’s expecting a Mass Storage Device, not a CCTV.

Thanks for your reply, I was meaning it the other way around, to use the EX2 as storage for the CCTV, because I wanted to access this storage from cloud.
But it is not working
Not via USB. Your CCTV software may permit the use of a NAS for video storage over your network
