Changing from jbod to spanning

I currently have two drives in my ex4100 in jbod and it’s showing drive one as 95% full. How do I get it to either start writing data on the second drive or change my configuration to spanning? Also if changing to spanning what is the best (and fastest) way to move all the data to a external hard drive?

Cheers.

If you’ve made all your shares on drive 1 then that’s the only drive that will get written to.

When your device is in JBOD mode, when you set up your shares you tell it which drive the share you’re creating should reside on. By default is drive 1.

You can change configuration in the dashboard, but it will erase both drives in doing so.

What kind of drive do you have?

It’s an ex4100.

OK. I moved your post to the correct board so you are more likely to get assistance.
