Can't upload files to My Book Live via FTP from outside of LAN

Hi All!

I have the following problem. I can acess My Book Live drive from outside of LAN network via FTP, but can’t upload files to it, because it tells me that I don’t have rights to do it. I am able only to read and download files from My Book Live. I used admin credentials to connect.

In LAN network everything works perfectly fine. Can upload files in both directions. Tried to do it with both web browser and FileZilla FTP client.

Any ideas?

Have you tried creating a designated user such as “External”, and a respective private share for that user?

Ive never tried using the admin account to upload to my MBL via FTP, but mine works with no issues using a separate account.

Yes I have tried that also, but it didnt help. Is it possible to allow root user to gain access to My Book Live via FTP?
