The drive does show up in Devices. But how do I actually access the files? It doesn’t show up when I search it. I had no issues with this drive on my mac. Any advice is super appreciated because I need to access these files for work. I contacted customer service but they are not available.

In some cases, storage device is not properly connected to computer and it cannot be recognized, for example, there might be something wrong with power supply, cable or USB port, etc. Disk is not enabled in bios or device manager.
I suggest you to try the below solutions once & share the outcome:
- Check the USB port
- Update the disk drivers
- Partition & Format the drive
