Can't drag files from Mac to WD Elements Disk

Hi
I purchased a WD Elements disk a couple weeks ago and I wanted to drag my files from my MacBook Air (software Sierra 10.12.1) to this disk but I couldn’t. I also can’t make folders in the disk or just do anything with it. Do I have to download some sort of software first or?

Hello,

Sounds like the drive still pre-formatted for windows and it shows on Mac as read only. You will need to reformat the drive to make it compatible with both systems or for Mac only depending on your needs.
