Can't Access WD drive

My WD drive comes on, there is the same blue light I’ve always seen.  I now get a message when I connect that says I need to format the drives – it’s giving me two drives instead of one.  The two drives show on my computer but when I try to access them I get the message that I need to format them to use them.  I don’t want to format them, the drive has records on it I would like to access.  

Any suggestions?

go to Disk Management to check the partition status

they are corrupted so most likely you will see raw or unallocated

use chkdsk or other application to repair the drive if possible

you will need a recovery software if you don’t have backups for those drives
