Hello,
I recently updated to the latest available firmware, but afterwards, I cannot find the box to update to OS 5, and I don’t know how to manually do it
You cannot update to OS5 because you have a first gen single bay My Cloud, evidenced by the v4.x firmware, which does not support being updated to OS5. V4.x firmware does not support being updated to the OS3 v2.41.121 firmware which is a requirement to update to the OS5 v5.x firmware.

How does the upgrade impact me?
The following My Cloud NAS devices can be updated with My Cloud OS 5:
- My Cloud (fw 2.xx.xxx)
- WD Cloud (JAPAN)
- My Cloud Mirror (Gen 2)
- My Cloud EX2 Ultra
- My Cloud EX2100
- My Cloud EX4100
- My Cloud DL2100
- My Cloud DL4100
- My Cloud PR2100
- My Cloud PR4100
In case you missed the My Cloud Dashboard popup notification you should have seen after you updated to v04.05.00-353 here it is again, note it warns the user (somewhat poorly worded) their device isn’t compatible with OS5:
On April 15, 2022, support for prior generations of My Cloud OS, including My Cloud OS 3, will end. Your device isn’t compatible with critical security updates that are only available for My Cloud OS 5-compatible devices. As a result, you’ll only be able to access it locally. After April 15, 2022, your device will no longer receive remote access, security updates, or technical support. To help protect your content, we recommend that you back up your device, disconnect it from the internet, and protect it with a strong, unique password. thanks for the reply
so this means that I won’t be able to update to OS 5 and also means that my device will not be supported by WD anymore?
Correct, you cannot update to OS5 and WD is terminating all support (including terminating remote access using MyCloud.com and the My Cloud OS3 mobile apps for iOS/Android) for OS3 in April. The reality is WD stopped providing updates to the OS3 v4.x firmware around late 2019. Since then there have been no further security updates to the v4.x firmware. The first gen single bay My Cloud (v4.x firmware) is End of Support.

You should, if you haven’t done so already, read through the following WD article:
My Cloud OS3 End of Service
https://www.westerndigital.com/mycloudupdates
Note the following from that End of Service article:
Q: Will my device stop working if I can’t upgrade to My Cloud OS 5? Will I lose access to my data?
A: Once the services have been shut down, you will still be able to access the device on a local network. However, access through the My Cloud OS 3 mobile app or web app will not be possible. Email notifications also won’t be delivered. Devices that have auto-update enabled will receive a final firmware update to disable remote access and outbound traffic to cloud services. Then, support will end and you’ll have to use the local network to access the device.
