Cannot connect to my wdcloud

Hi,

I purchased the device several months ago and all was working fine. Suddenly it stopped connecting. no connection is possible through mobile applications, through my mac or through wdmycloUd online. Did 4 seconds reset and 40 seconds reset but no change. It is not connecting. Led on the front panel blue and not flashing, so I believe it has internet connection. But cannot find it and cannot connect. Any idea?

Have you tried resetting your router?

Yes, did it as well, nothings changed.

Blue LED means MyCloud is happy.

Therefore, the problem lies in your network or accessing devices; what are they, and have they auto-updated OS recently…?

Can you access the Dashboard?

Can you see it in your router’s device table? If so, can you access it via the IP address? Or ping the IP address?

Hi, i am not able to reach dashboard as well. Cannot reach anything from wdmycloud infact.

Nothing updated from system. I did reset to my router as well (linksys EA3500), removed all firewalls, hence no connection to wdmycloud or dashboard yet. Also router’s device table does not show WD.

Is the My Cloud connected directly using an Ethernet wire to one of the networking ports on your Linksys EA3500? Is a computer you are using to attempt My Cloud access also connected to that same Linksys router using one of the Linksys networking ports?

Have you tried a 40 second reset of the My Cloud?

Hi Bennor. I think I got the problem. WD connected to the connection socket on the wall (as I had to shift my router to another place) not the router. that is the reason it shows blue light as connection there but not to the wireless network. I will check it and connect to the router again. Thanks for the support guys, I will check and confirm.
