Cannot Add Plex Libraries on My Cloud Home

I know questions like this have been asked and discussed but it has me stopped. The Plex Server code on the My Cloud Home started from Plex baseline software but WD freezes versions and verifies they are happy with it. I have been seeing some posts on various sites indicating there have been some updates and improvements from WD so my first question is: How do I find out what firmware version I have and how would I update that to a current level. I do not see any way to access that level of detail on this device.

And the basic question is whether or not the inability to add libraries is still accurate? Not being able to add a libraries for TV shows or Series is a real inconvenience because Plex cannot match many videos that were made for TV but loaded into the Movie library. Apparently, for files in Movies, IMDb is the primary source of information. For TV Series it should be Tmdb.

This could be a good “middle-of-the-road” media server but sales for this purpose are being damaged because of the horrible reputation. Once I get files loaded and properly matched I can easily stream movies to two TVs and possibly three. This would make the My Cloud Home a good choice at the price point but WD appears to not be interested in this use of the device.

I would request you to disable the plex and enable it again in order to isolate the issue.

I’ve done all of that. This problem is more than just not being able to add libraries. The text you suggested says that when you configure Plex on the Do More page this will add all of the Plex libraries to your MyCloud Home. It does not do that. It only adds Music and Movies. I would also be interested to hear from others in the community. Am I the only one that does not have a Shared TV Shows library on their Home?
