My friend brought his mac round to put some movie files onto my elements play 2tb. The movie file was a mkv divx however it would not allow him to drop the file into my elements play folder. How can I over come this?
What file system is your elements play disc formatted with?
If it’s NTFS, that could be why your friend’s Mac wouldn’t copy. He can download a free piece of software called NTFS-3G (from Tuxera) which will allow the Mac to read/write to the EP disk. It’s slow - there is a commercial version that’s faster.
How do I find out what file system my elements is running ?
Plug it into your PC and check there.
If you have never changed it, it is probably NTFS.
