Can no longer connect to mypassport using ipad

Hoping someone can help me out here. I recently updated the drive to firmware, v1.03.13. I can connect my laptop and PC to the drive fine, however when using my ipad i cannot connect to the drive using the mycloud app.

The ipad can see the device wrieless and connect, it picks up an IP address and can browse the web using the device as a bridge fine. The mycould app no longer connects to the device, i removed the app and reinstalled and when attempting to add the device manually i get the usual 3 warning notes to conect to the devices wireless and then reopen mycloud app.

ios version is 7.1.2 and my cloud version is 4.1.3.

any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Hello,

Have you tried resetting both devices?

If stills the same, as a recommendation, contact WD Support for direct assistance.

I have yes, but no effect. I’ll try the support, thanks for the response.

Did support help you with this?

If you are still having the problem, I would try deleting the MPW network profile on the iPad. That is, tell the iPad to forget the MPW network.

Then reboot the iPad and the MPW, just to be sure.

Then start the MPW again and try to connect from the iPad to the MPW by re-entering the MPW network information.

Remembered network connections store all sorts of information about the connection, much of which isn’t visible to the user. When problems like this occur sometimes it is better to start from scratch, recreating the network connection.
