I use a desktop & a laptop at work and would like to know if it is possible, or the best method to back up files from the desktop and restore to the laptop. Will WD Backup restore incrementally to the laptop?
While you can use your WD Passport Ultra in as many computers as you need, WD Backup will work independently from one another. Files from “Computer 1” will be ignored by “Computer 2”; they will each have a separate folder and a separate backup.
You can of course manually copy and paste your files into a common folder within your WD Passport though.
On the other hand, if you need for your Desktop and your Laptop to share the same files then you need a synchronization software as opposed to a backup software.
