Can I use My Cloud EX2 with No RAID?

I am considering purchase my first home NAS product. My Cloud EX2 is one of my choice. I am going to put my files most likely movie and music. I don’t care the data loss with harddisk fail. So I want to use all the harddisk space. Can the OS support no raid?

Your question may be better served in the My Cloud EX2 subforum…

Hi Mark_1 ,

yes, you can use (for your purposes) JBOD if you have one (or two) HD or RAID0 (striping) if you will install two HDs from beginning.
These will give you the max capacity of your HD(s), but no redundancy…
