Can I replace the drive in the module with any compatible drive?

The drives are failing on my G-Raid 16tb removable. Instead of buying new modules, I want to take the drives out of the modules I currently have and replace them with WD Blacks. Is that possible?

Yes, just swap the trays to other drives and use the G-RAID configurator to create a new RAID with them.

Rydia, I have a failed drive in what order do I do the steps to do the replacement. I want to use a WD Gold instead of HGST Enterprise as the replacement for the failed module. Do I then use the Configurator to “Rebuild” or do I format the Drive first with Drive Utility?
Your help would be appreciated.
