since the update, Time machine can’t access my old TM backup or create a new one
everything else works
I HAVE:
deleted all old files
new install of software
firmware up to date
rebooted
spoken to tech support [who are so slow…]
any thoughts?

thanks,appreciate you looking into this and the help but not confident in doing that as not clear what i need to do, and if it’s safe… would prefer WD actually acknowledging it and fixing it themselves
SOLUTION CONFIRMED
turns out Sophos [mine was free version for home] was the culprit, either remove or backup in safemode. Apparently Sophos afe aiming for a fix in March 2021…
