Backup FROM my cloud not TO mycloud

Hi all

Been happy using my 4TB since 2014 but I am now reshuffling the method(s) I use to access my data. One of these is potentially moving my Itunes and Lightroom files onto the mycloud as their primary location.

However, despite finding a lot of information on how to backup TO a my cloud, smartware, windows backup etc, there is not much if at all anything on backing up FROM a my cloud. I.e backing those music and photo files up from the cloud to either a Network attached USB on my router or back to my desktop HDD.

I know there is the restore point option in the web interface but this is a Full mirror image backup and thats not what I need, I need selective backup of just the photos and music files.

Can anyone advise or make a recommendation on this?

Why not use any backup, sync, or mirroring program on a computer that supports network access to copy what you need on the My Cloud to another location?

For example I use Free File Sync (https://www.freefilesync.org/) to mirror select folders/Shares on a My Cloud to a USB hard drive attached to a computer.
