I HAVE 4TB G-DRIVE USB & A 10 TB G-DRIVE USB-C THE USB-C WAS PURCHASED USED FROM MERCARI THE 4TB WAS PURCHASED ON AMAZON NEW THE YEAR PRIOR TODAY I HAD DECIDED TO USE MY 10 TB DRIVE FOR THE FIRST TIME AS I HAD BEEN USING MY 4TB FOR AWHILE AND IT WAS FILLING UP AND I HAD BEEN SAVING THE 10 TB FOR THIS OCCASION TO MOVE STUFF TAKING UP SPACE ON MY PC OVER TO THE 10TB WHEN I FIRST GOT THIS 10 TB IT CAME WITH A POWER PLUG THAT WAS UNSUALLY LOOSE AND DID NOT STAY IN THE PORT AT ALL SO MUCH SO I HAD TO WRAP THE CORD AROUND THE DRIVE SO I OPTED TO FIND ANOTHER POWER PLUG USING REALLY ANY OF THREE THAT I FOUND THAT POWERED IT ON IT HAD WORKED BEFORE WITH THIS PLUG AND MY PC HAD RECOGINIZED IT ALSO MY 4TB HADNT BEEN USED FOR A FEW DAYS NOW AND I JUST RECENTLY UPDATED MY PCs OS WHICH IS WINDOWS 11 PRO I HAD PLUGGED IN THE 10 TB INTO THE USBC PORT POWERING IT ON IT MADE A NOISE LIKE A WHIRRING THAT SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS STUCK LIKE SOMETHING WASNT WORKING CONTINUOUSLY SLOWLY THE USB HAD RECOGNIZED IT BUT IT DIDNT SHOW UP ON MY PC AS INITIALIZED OR MOUNTED I COULDNT ACCESS NOR SEE THE DRIVE I TRIED UNPLUGGING AND SWITCHED IT TO 3 DIFFERENT POWER PLUGS IDK IF THIS MADE IT WORSE BUT I DO KNOW THE NOISE ONLY WAS HAPPENING WITH ONE PLUG KEEP IN MIND THIS 10 TB DRIVE HADNT BEEN USED BARELY AT ALL BY ME SO I TRIED THE 4TB TO SEE IF IT WAS AN OS OR PC PROBLEM IT DID THE SAME THING NO INTIALIZATION NO NOISE COMING FROM MY DRIVE AS USUAL LIKE WHEN ID ALWAYS USE IT NO MOUNT PC STILL DID NOT RECOGNIZE IT SO NOW IM VERY WORRIED I ALSO TRIED 3 PLUGS ON IT AND TRIED DIFFERENT USB PORTS ON MY PC IDK WHATS GOING ON BUT I AM AFRAID THAT MY DRIVES ARE RUINED AND ALL MY DATA IS LOST PLEASE SOMEONE ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME TELL ME ANYTHING WHAT IS GOING ON ???
