When connecting a smart UPS to the usb port on the EX4 is there any additional configuration for a graceful shutdown?
Hello,
The Manual does not mention any other type of configuration.

I have the WD My Cloud EX4 16TB, Firmware Version : 1.02.08.
I just purchased the APC Power-Saving Back-UPS Pro 1500 865W/1500VA 120V (BR1500G) since it was a tested device to complement the My Cloud EX4 on the URL listed above.
Now, what do I do? Do I simply plug the UPS USB interface into the USB port of the BR1500G? Either port? What settings need to be made in the web interface for the EX4? I need a clean shutdown when I get to 15 minutes left of battery power.
Please explain as fully as possible as other readers may be interested as well.
Thanks in advance!!
Sorry, in the above post I should have said plug the USB port of the UPS into the USB port of the EX4.
The unit will shut down when the UPS is at 10% power left.
Do I need to do anything other than plug the USB cable in?
No. If it shows you the percentage letf in the UI (which should be 100% normally) then you are good to go.
