Acronis True Image WD Edition - My Passport Ultra 4TB

Just got a new My Passport Ultra 4TB drive. Downloaded Acronis True Image WD Edition.

Acronis says it will delete all partitions on the WD My Passport Ultra and is asking for confirmation. No data other than the utilities are on there, which I copied off.

Does this affect the WD Unlocker / HD security feature?

The laptop I am backing up from has 2 drives - SSD and HD.

Will these be duplicated on the WD Passport? What about the extra space?

Are you trying to achieve cloning using Acronics or just trying to backup your data from the SSD and HD on the drive using Acronics?

I want a full backup including boot record, so I can restore to a new HD / SSD if necessary.

Hello

You cannot make a boot record of your internal drives on a external drive using Acronics, It is only possible with internal drives.

However, you can back up your data and create a system image(TIF format) and later you can restore using the same TIF file.
