? about using SmartWare for the 1st time - can I backup my computer's HD + an existing WD HD?

Hi all,

I am considering upgrading from my existing WD Passport portable 160 GB hard drive to a WD 1 TB Passport HD. Can anyone tell me if WD Smartware will allow me to backup the data on my computer’s hard drive as well as the data on my existing (160 GB) WD passport external hard drive?  And if the software does allow a backup of multiple hard drives, is this process fairly simple?

Hi there.

Smartware will copy the files from your computer, but it will only see external drives once in a blue moon…

You can copy the files to the new drive manually though :slight_smile:
