3 Tb WD MyBook Essentials - Freezes after 1/3 of the transfer

A week ago I purchased an WD MyBook (3TB) , i seem to be able to transfer individual files. I also got away with transferring a small folder (with 5 or 6 file inside), but when i try to move any significant amount of data at one time the transfer freezes at approx. the 1/3 transferred point? No error message, no nothing…

Any ideas??

Make sure that the drive is properly formatted in NTFS if you are using a windows computer… Also try the unit on a different computer with a different USB cable that has been tested to make sure that is not a connections issue.
