2TB Purple failing after 18 months

Hello,
One of our customers uses Exacq A-series NVR’s equipped with 3x2TB WD purple drives (WD20PURX-64P6ZY0) and 4x2TB in RAID 5.
In 18 months time two machines already crashed because of hard drive failure.SMART is enabled.
Knowing the drives should last much longer, what could be possible reasons for failing. The equipment is installed on several sites, all in climatized server rooms.

Hi there,

Did only 1 of the hard drives fail or more than one? when happens if you try to diagnose the drive?
