Hi i purchased a NVR from a large store in Birmingham. The hard disk failed after about 15 months of having the NVR. The store said they only warranty their product for 1 year even though they had told me at the time the hard disk is warrantied for 3 years. They said i need to contact you in regards to the hard drive.I removed the hard disk. It was a WD purple with the Date SEP 2015. I managed to get windows to recognise it in Disk Management. It asks me if i need to GPT or MBR. i dont know which to choose. Then after that do i format in NTFS or exFAT. And will this fix it. The NVR is a 8 channel mini NVR (8 poe ports) similar to the one in the following link Zeus NVR 3000 Series 1080p + POE + Realtime + 1TB HDD Installed, IP NVR Recorders, NVR100.
I hope you can help. Also should i try this or should i return the hard drive.
