There is a file on the Gen2 located in /mnt/HD/HD_a4/.systemfile. It is called hd_volume_info.xml. Could someone please post the size line. I know for a 4TB is it 3717. For a 6TB it is 5580. I would like to know the value for a 2TB disk. This file gets saved over a reboot.
PS Not sure of the reason for this file. But it also contains the disk serial number. Which
might not be correct on systems the have been unbricked. You could check this out by cat /tmp/wd_serial.txt and checking it against the value in hd_volume_info.xml
