0.6A power adapter for Elements Desktop that had a 0.5A

Hi there!
The power adapter of my WDBWLG0050HBK elements drive, which says 0.5A input, broke and I am wondering if an old adapter from the old version of the elements series,
which says 0.6A input, will work properly, without causing any potential problems…

Is there a chance that the drive will draw more power than it can handle (0.5A) by connecting the adapter with 0.6A input?
Or does it draw only the power that requires and is designed for, and therefore it’s fine to use it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I have never tried this, WD always recommend o use the power adapter for each device to assure correct functionality. However, I would contact WD and see what they have to say about this.
