How to smart self test on WD 2TB Elements Desktop usb 3.0

I can find no way to run smart self test on this usb 3.0 external drive.
How is it possible?
Currently testing with DLG as it seems to be the only way to run a smart self test…
When I try to run smart test with Hard Disk Sentinel I get the message:
“The hard disk controller or its driver do not support this function.”
It seems the problem is only with external usb hard drives and ssds.

Any help with this issue would be appreciated.
