Won't auto mount encrypted volume

Running firmware 2.11.169

Several firmware updates ago my mycloud ex4 stopped auto mounting my encrypted volume. I’ve tried disabling auto mount and then enabling it again. There’s just no way to get it to work. What’s the deal? Was support for this option dropped without dropping the dialog? Is there any way for me to figure this out if I ssh into the device?
