Windows 8 requests mybook live firmware update but no update available

hi,

got a new windows 8 laptop and installed the WD app so i can connect to the 3tb mybook live, but it keeps telling me i need a firmware update. tried installing an update via the dashboard but that says im fully up to date.

my firmware version is this-

MyBookLive 02.42.03-027 : Core F/W

help greatly appreciated.

I’m having the same problem, only diffrence is im running 02.42.02-012.

hopefuly this will be fixed soon as without it, my drive is of very limioted use to me :frowning:

well you could always map the drive, the app isn’t all that great.
