my MBL is currently running the latest firmware and for some reason the windows 8 app thinks the MBL needs an update. Is any one else having this problem???
Did you check if the update is Windows related or for the drive itself?

Well according to the MBL web page the device is up to date, however the link you gave me doesn’t match the firmware I have im running 02.42.02 and the link says 02.42.03. As far as windows is concerned my machine is up to date as well.
