Which file system format used?

I´am trying to regain my data from a wd-netcenter, where the disk was no longer listed. To analyze, I extracted the WDXE5000KSE SATA-Disk from the surrounding box and put it into a Linux test-computer. Test tools confirm physical health of the disk, but no partition exists. It might be helpful to know the file system used by the WD-Netcenter-NAS-controller, which is told to be a Linux system itself.

It’s been awhile since I’ve looked at the netcenter but I believe it used the EXT2 filesystem.
